Undermount sink reveals

There are three methods to installing an undermount sink. At J. Aaron we use a negative reveal when possible. It provides the cleanest install by hiding any adhesive used around the top lip of the sink and allows liquids to fall strait down into the sink basin. A zero reveal must be used on some sink designs to accommodate accessories produced by the sink manufacturer. We never recommend a partial reveal.

  • Partial reveal: The amount of reveal is flexible - more or less depending on the look that is desired.
  • Zero reveal: Countertop flush with sink bowls - no reveal or very little of the sink rim is visible.
  • Negative reveal: Countertop slightly over hanging - no sink rim is visible as it is hidden under the counter edge.
