We can do lots of things. In this case it was custom stair treads. We tend to focus on our wood countertops but if it's wood and flat we can probably make it. This project was forty-two 3" thick birch stair treads for a restaurant in Minnesota.
They are all in the edge grain construction style (butcher block) and finished with a very durable conversion varnish. There's no stain on these guys, just the natural wood.

Check out that grain in this stair tread. Birch is such a nice wood to work with and look at. Unlike some woods it takes a stain beautifully but also looks great with just a clear coat, which is what we've done here.
We don't get to see a lot of the projects we make make products for but in this case our customer, Distinctive Cabinet Designs in MN was nice enough to send us a jobsite pic showing the stair treads installed.
If you've got a special project in need of something custom give us a call or submit a quote request. We're always here to help iron out the details if you're not sure what you want or need.
